Gold? What is really important?

For hundreds of years, gold, or the acquisition of outer wealth, has been a huge focus for many. Gold itself is an amazing substance, one that has maintained its value over thousands of years, and pure gold does not tarnish from any outer influences.

However the acquisition of gold or wealth alone has not led people to inner peace and joy. The inner and outer world are in a relationship with each other, but focusing on achievements in the outer world only does not ensure that you will actually enjoy living inside of yourself.

There is an undervalued asset, an undervalued ‘gold’, and that is the world we live in within ourselves.

It is easy to overlook this – until life forces you to look more deeply at this inner world. The most valuable part of you is seeking for you to know about this true treasure within. It is also within reach to know this part of you while living in this physical world, mastering the world of your dreams and desires. Developing both the inner and outer world is something we need to take care of, and we can develop them simultaneously.

Should you overlook taking care of this inner world long enough, the University of Life as I like to refer to it, will tend to bring you opportunities to take stock of this inner world, so you can find the true gold lying in wait within you. These can come in the form of things like unexpected challenges, deaths, break-ups, an accident, panic attacks, a mental breakdown, the onset of an illness and other losses, exposure of addictions (work, sex, food, substances, media etc.), mental health challenges, awareness of using alcohol as crutch, all of which force you to take stock of what is actually going on inside of you.

So just for this moment, stop and consider: what is it like to live within yourself? Are there experiences of:

  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Chaos
  • Worry
  • Frustration
  • Pain
  • Loneliness
  • Guilt
  • Shame
  • Anger
  • Dissatisfaction
  • Insecurity
  • Victimization
  • Despair
  • Apathy
  • Lying to yourself
  • Mental rigidity
  • Blaming
  • Feeling overly self important
  • Being unforgiving to self, harsh to self
  • Self-righteousness
  • Jealousy
  • Obsessiveness
  • Too much self-focus
  • Reliance on alcohol or drugs to be ok

And consider for a moment, what percentage of time do you live in the left hand column versus the right hand column below:

The right hand column represents some of the states of being when you are connected to your true essence, your true gold within as the Alchemists of Old would call it. When you are not accessing your ‘super powers’ within, you will experience states of being from the left hand column.

Go ahead and test the state of your Inner World right now:

Look at these two columns carefully and score each state of being (negative/left and positive/right) out of 5 for how much time you feel you spend in each of these states of being.
Add up the two columns and evaluate where you are in this moment in time by looking at the total scores of each column. Consider this honestly so you can assess where you truly are right now.
This measurement can show you the status quo of the inner world you live in.

Fulfilling work and overcoming challenges definitely shapes this inner world, creating victory and positive energy for the inner world. Building successful relationships, creative projects, businesses, careers and all the many opportunities that the outer world offer, decorate and shape the inner world with positive energy. But this inner world cannot be covered up by fixing the outer world alone. We are here to find joy both within and without, or stated differently, we are here to find joy inside of ourselves and reflect that in the world we create outside of ourselves, as well as vice versa.

The life we create offers us the opportunity to master our inner and outer world according to the experience we desire. If you have evaluated that you are leaning towards the left hand column, know that this is merely an indicator that it is time to learn about this gold within. Know that it is your destiny and potential to find your truer self that will lead to inner peace and joy.

There is indeed an entire map within that can reveal your true core essence, and the well from which you can draw your true joy! All of this is inside of you!

Finding your true divine essence within creates a joyful state inside of you that will change how it feels to wake up with yourself in the morning, how it feels to be inside of your skin and how you feel when you are only with yourself. One might even want to argue that this is what you take with you when you leave your physical body, or put in other words, the state of your inner world defines your state of mind, and it is this consciousness that continues with you when you leave this physical world. In Egyptian mythology, the Goddess Ma’at would measure your soul against the weight of a feather when you died. If your soul was light and you could say that you were living in the state of being as defined by the right hand column above, you could cross over to a good place. The key thing to understand is, that YOU can determine the state of your own inner world – the power to do so lies in your own hands, and you can do this now!

It is your destiny to find this! It starts with making a choice. May the treasure hunt begin!

A few things you can do to start this journey straight away:
Learn a form of attainable meditation. I recommend Max Meditation System™ to learn steps to train the busy mind to truely relax.
Monitor your breathing: start breathing in for a count of 4 and exhaling for a count of 4. Do this in sets of 4 for about 10 mins.
Spend time alone, simply contemplating and daydreaming.
Do something creative that is fun for you to do.

If you are ready to make significant shifts, I recommend starting with a Life Activation and then fast track this journey by experiencing the Empower Thyself Class & Initiation. You can also look at this link, and it will give you an idea of the steps you could take towards the journey of finding the gold within. It is time to find the true value you are seeking!
